Beacon House Inn Bed & Breakfast located across the street from the pristine beach of North Carolina’s Pleasure Island, the Beacon House Inn Bed & Breakfast can be found within a 10-15 minute walk from the legendary Carolina Beach boardwalk with many shops, restaurants, and attractions to tantalize every visitor. Wake up to the aromas of a freshly prepared artisan breakfast or sip a special blend of fabulous gourmet coffee. We prepare an artisan sit-down breakfast where you can enjoy a tasty home-cooked meal and chat with some newfound friends. Breakfast is served at 9:00 am using the freshest local ingredients whenever possible. Our motto is “nothing from a box.†An almond french toast topped with a fresh blueberry Cassis compote or from scratch mini German pancakes are a sampling of what may delight your sweet tooth. And on savory mornings, a tasty vegetable frittata accompanied with a bright citrus sour cream paprika spread also has the possibility of tantalizing your taste buds. We carefully select meals to enhance your breakfast experience and provide a quaint casual atmosphere. Due to our B&B only having a home kitchen, it is important for us to plan for any food allergies/dietary restrictions in advance. Each guest room in our bed and breakfast has its own personality – so rather than booking lodging at a typical hotel or beach motel, we hope you consider the relaxed vintage beach vibe we offer at the Beacon House Inn Bed & Breakfast. When traveling with your furry friend or if your family has earned a vacation and Wally World is still closed, take a look at our vacation cottages, which can provide a special beach getaway for everyone in the car. Located directly behind the Beacon House Inn Bed & Breakfast and across the street from the beach (2-minute walk to the sand), our cozy cottage rentals are well equipped and perfect for a small family. We are also a short walk to the boardwalk where you and your family can ride the Ferris wheel and other amusements at the summertime carnival. The Carolina Beach Boardwalk also hosts a weekly fireworks show, live music and family Bingo night. More fun for the family includes a Sunday night free outdoor movie at the Carolina Beach Lake Park through Labor Day weekend. Each cottage has free Wi-Fi and is fully furnished with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and full kitchen with cookware/microwave/utensils/coffee maker etc. and sleeps a maximum of 4 human heartbeats and 2 four-legged heartbeats. Both Cottages include a start-up kit of essentials that includes dish soap, one roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels and a hotel sized bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. You must purchase your own supplies after the start-up kit has been used. Each cottage is self catering and due to health code does not include breakfast. A 25-minute drive will put you into downtown Wilmington that is another world all together. Wilmington oozes southern charm with its cobblestone streets lined with live oak trees draped in Spanish moss. The USS North Carolina Battleship is a must do for any history buff. You can also tour antebellum mansions, take culinary walking tours, peruse art galleries or just sit along the river walk for a taste of southern fine cuisine.
