Over 50 acres with about 34 acres zoned commercial (the rest have rural residential zoning)
Just 16 miles from Interstate 10 and Tallahassee, Florida (Florida's capital)
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places
Grounds are landscaped and include a large spring, ravine, hiking trails, and a 4-acre dog park and three ponds.
Exceptionally nice Owner's House (circa 1845) is adjacent to the property and was completely remodeled in 2010.
Three rental houses on 8+ adjacent acres are available for an additional price.
We currently have 8 rooms and 1 cottage available for overnight rental, four rooms in the c.1880 Salem House, two rooms in the Patrick's Store (a 1916 two-story country store/post office/filling station building), the c.1828 Smokehouse Cottage, a quaint private cottage with front and back porches and  two rooms in the original c.1828 Nicholson House.
All of our guest rooms are stocked with soft drinks, bottled water and snacks, including some snacks appropriate for breakfast such as cereal or granola bars.  All drinks and snacks are complimentary.  Each room also has a Keurig machine with single-serve coffee and tea; a microwave, and a mini-refrigerator.
Each Salem House room includes a private bath with an antique claw foot tub with a hand-held shower (Bald Cypress has a stand-up shower in its claw foot tub), a small dining table with chairs, either a sofa or a chaise lounge, a queen bed that is either antique or artist-crafted, a small selection of books (if you find a good one, feel free to take it with you!), and a breakfast counter with a Keurig coffee/tea/cocoa maker, mini-fridge, and microwave.
This room celebrates the longleaf pine.
One of our two largest rooms, it has both a large sleeping area with a 19th Century French iron canopy bed (approximately queen size) as well as a large living room area with a decorative heart pine fireplace and a sofa that can be converted to a full-size bed.  It is in the original part of the Salem House.  Note that in Heart Pine the television is in the sitting area, not in the bed area.
One of our two largest rooms, it has both a large sleeping area with a c1860  French Empire brass bed (approximately queen size) as well as a large living room area with a chaise lounge and a 19th century French armoire.
Bald Cypress features both a sleeping area with an artist-made wrought iron Fleur de Lis queen canopy bed and a sitting area with a click clack sofa that converts to a double bed, two comfy chairs and a 19th Century French armoire.  The highlight of the room is the 10-foot tall cypress knee (dredged from an Alabama river) that has been turned into a torchiere and the old photos from 1950s Cypress Gardens.
While the smallest of the Salem House rooms, Cabbage Palm is nevertheless a large room containing a queen size artist-made mesquite tall post bed, a leather chaise lounge, a 19th Century French armoire, as well as a table with two comfortable chairs.  Cabbage Palm has its own private porch facing a wooded area with a bird feeder.
Check web site for more unique rooms.
rom Tallahassee I-10 Exit 199 (the Monroe Street/US 27 exit):  Drive north on Monroe Street (Highway 27) toward Havana for about 12 miles until you get to the first traffic light in Havana.  Take a left (you'll on 9th Avenue, which is also State Road 12).  Drive about 3.5 miles.  Coca Cola Avenue will be on the right, directly across the street from Tallavana Community Church and Tallavana Christian School.  Next to the Coca Cola Ave. sign will be a large green historic marker, and the White Dog Plantation sign (the sign is small but reflective, so it shows up in car lights at night).  Go through the white gates and you have arrived!
